How To Make Your Voice Sound Better in Audacity | Audacity Accelerator Course [Part 15]

Do you want to make your voice sound better with Audacity? In this video, I show you the tools to use and how to use them. We’re looking at spoken word for a podcast here but if you’re a singer this will help you to get the best out of your recording as well.

When mixing voice, whether that’s for spoken word or music, we have certain goals that we’re aiming to achieve with the sound. We want our voice to sound clear, we want it balanced, we want it to sound warm without becoming muddy and we want to reduce any nasty tones that may be present as a result of the recording process. This will help your music or podcast grow by giving the lister a better experience.

I’m going to show you how to achieve all of this using equalization and compression in Audacity.

If you want to learn the ins and outs of Audacity so that you can record, edit and mix audio like an Audio Pro, then you’re in the right place. This is Audacity Accelerator, the Audacity complete course for beginners that I’ve put together for you right here on YouTube. It’s the only course that you need to quickly and simply learn everything that you need to know to create music, podcasts and more, using the powerful – and free – audio software Audacity.
