In this video I’m going to show you where to start with EQ or equalization. It can be tricky to get your head around and to know where to start when you’ve got a mix in front of you. So I’m going to demystify EQ for you and explain how to use it in a mix.
I’ve split the video into three parts. First I’ll briefly go over what EQ is and what it’s used for. Next, I’ll explain all of the parameters of an EQ plugin so that you know exactly what each of them do and how to use them to achieve the results you’re after. And finally, I’ll show you how to use EQ in a mix session, demonstrating the 5 most common uses of EQ that you’ll need to know for your own mixes.
